As the parasitic capitalist class continues its relentless assault on the basic human right to housing in the name of “development”, working class people are facing the ill effects of gentrification, displacement, and homeless. Landlords hold thousands of vacant units across swaths of land in order to cause artificial price inflation while people are sleeping on the streets facing the dangers of the elements and the police. Politicians and real estate tycoons have closed door meetings where they draw up rezoning plans to sell our communities out to the highest bidder. But when we know our rights, our communities, and our power, we CAN fight back!

Join us to hear from housing lawyers, advocates, community organizers, and tenants who will share strategies to organize and fight for quality affordable housing for all. We will also continue to discuss our socialist orientation on gentrification, capital, the role of the state, and tactics for long term resistance.
