For over 10 years, Executive Director of New Sanctuary Coalition & Immigrant Rights Activist, Ravi Ragbir has been training U.S. citizens how to accompany our Friends (non-citizens) facing or fighting deportation.

Friends Don’t Let Friends Check-In Alone!

Thursday January 23rd
accompany Ravi to his ICE check-in
8:30am - NSC Community Press Conference at Foley Square
9:30am - Jericho Walk at 26 Federal Plaza while Ravi reports to ICE

TO JOIN RAVI’S CAMPAIGN TO STOP HIS DEPORTATION, VISIT: newsanctuarynyc.org/RaviRagbir
TO FOLLOW RAVI’S CASE, VISIT: istandwithravi.org

SINCE 2006, RAVI HAS BEEN FIGHTING HIS DEPORTATION
Ravi was detained and ordered deported by an immigration judge
—without a hearing— based on the old conviction.
Because his conviction was considered an “aggravated felony” under
immigration law, he was not able to present evidence to the judge
about his character and community ties.
Unjust immigration laws does not stop Ravi Ragbir from advocating
for immigrant community members. He educates and empowers
those facing or fighting deportation while he fights his own. Ravi
teaches citizens and non-citizens advocacy without confrontation.
