Join us for the final of three citywide town halls reserved for discussion and debate of an NYC-DSA policy platform. This town hall will focus on issues of labor, taxing the rich, healthcare, and anti-discrimination.

The Citywide Leadership Committee (CLC) voted at its latest meeting to develop a 12-point policy platform that will help us evaluate our organization and our work. By developing a policy platform, the CLC hopes to make better decisions about campaign priorities and endorsements, identify our allies and targets, provide a framework for holding elected leadership accountable, provide a practical path forward for socialism in our lifetime, and increase our relevancy to the working class in New York.

A draft of the policy platform will be advanced to the next CLC meeting in May following extensive discussion at our town halls and input from general membership, working groups, and branches throughout the process. If approved by the CLC in May, a final draft will be voted on at the NYC-DSA annual convention on June 1.

See below for a list of planks to be discussed at each of our town halls:

April 3rd — Policy Platform Town Hall

Deepening our Democracy
Education
Mass Incarceration

April 16th — Policy Platform Town Hall

Ecosocialism

April 30th — Policy Platform Town Hall
